Information & How to get to KA BRU BEACH
How to get here
KA BRU BEACH is located in a rural area at, on the peninsula of Marau, Bahia, in the fishers village Campinhos. Leaving Ilheus, take the road BR-001 and then road BR-030 north towards Camamu. Before reaching there, take the dirt road following the sign KA BRU which is located at the roundabout on the road. When you enter the dirt road, follow the direction of Marau until you reach the village of Campinhos, approximately 40 kilometers. Before passing through Campinhos you will find the sign KA BRU BEACH and enter the "trail" rua do SEPLAC. Follow the trail until you see the hotel welcome sign. KA BRU BEACH is located directly at the Camamu Bay and is on the beach. PLEASE NOTE that KA BRU 1100 is located in Cassange, before KABRU BEACH in Campinhos.

VERY IMPORTANT: download the map on your GPS before leaving Ilheus. On the road there is no phone signal. Please contact us prior to your arrival and we will give you an update about the state of the road.

High Voltage
The electricity on the Marau peninsula is 220V (the standard voltage in the rest of Brazil is 110V). The peninsula suffers from energy breakdowns mostly at the high season period. Emergency lamps are indicated. Don’t worry our hotel is well organized and can provide you with emergency lamps as well. The energy breakdowns last mostly about 2-3 hours.

We are located in a rural area, our water comes from a natural well. Our hotel water is treated, but not filtered. We recommend using bottled water for your daily use.
Transfer Possibilities
Private Transfer from Ilheus
Ilheus (IOS) is located approximately 130 km away from KA BRU BEACH which has the closest airport and therefore is the easiest option. We can arrange the airport transfer for you. A driver will meet you on arrival and brings you straight to our doorstep. Price upon request.
Rental Car from Ilheus
You can rent a car in Ilheus at the airport. This gives you added independence and flexibility to explore the area during your stay. But be aware that the roads up the peninsula of Maraú (40km) are unpaved. This can cause delays during periods of heavy rain or lack of maintenance. We recommend the rental of a 4x4 car for roads.
Air Transfer from Salvador
The fastest, and most scenic way to reach KA BRU BEACH is by private air transfer. Upon your arrival in Salvador, a private helicopter will be waiting for you. Professional staff will take care of your needs and luggage. The flight takes approximately 45 minutes. Please contact us one week prior to your arrival.
