The KA BRU 1100 Boutique Hotel is the latest addition to the KA BRU Brazil collection. A six -bedroom private villa that is transformed into a POP UP Boutique Hotel surrounded by the open ocean on one side and a tropical lagoon on the other all known as the area of Cassange. Barra Grande is off the beaten path, just the way we like it. An unpaved road which goes up to the tip of the peninsula of Maraú stretches approximately 40km north. In good conditions you drive at regular speed as it's maintained fairly well. During periods of heavy rain it can become challenging. Please contact us prior to your arriave and we give you an update on the road condition.
This means that some amenities in the region are… limited! Pleaese find some helpful travel advices to bear in mind for your stay at the Peninsula of Maraú.

There are no banks or ATMs on the whole peninsula. Please take some cash with you as many places (hotels/bars/restaurants) do not accept bank- nor creditcards. (At KA BRU 1100 we accept MasterCard and VISA of course)

Located 100 km away from KA BRU 1100, Ilheus (IOS) is the closest airport and therefore the easiest option.
We can arrange the airport transfer for you. A driver will meet you on arrival and brings you straight to our doorstep. Price on request.
A better option would be to rent a car from Ilheus: this gives you added independence and flexibility to explore the area during your stay. But be aware that the roads up the peninsula of Maraú (30km) are unpaved. This can cause delays during periods of heavy rain or lack of maintenance.
The fastest, most luxurious and scenic way to reach us is by private air transfer, directly to KA BRU 1100. Upon your arrival in Salvador, a private helicopter will be waiting for you. Professional staff will take care of your needs and luggage. The flight takes approximately 45 minutes. Please contact us one week prior to your arrival. We will be happy to check the availability and a quote for you.
Coming from Ilheus, head north on the BA 001 direction Itacaré. Just before arriving in Itacaré there is a roundabout where you have to turn left and to follow the signs for "Camamu" and "Salvador via Ferry Boat". After approximately 10 kms (25 min before Camamu) you will reach another roundabout, where you have to turn right onto the gravel road BR 030 following the direction to Maraú. Drive for about 35km until you get to the village of Cassange. At the first turn off to your right – take a right. When the road splits stay left and continue the small dirt road until the big white building appears on your right – The KA BRU 1100.
